About
Hello everybody,
I’m Mac, aka beatuplunchbox (for those who have seen my posts on several of the insurance agent forums). I started blogging in April of 2008 about my experiences in the insurance field and and share my experiences dealing with leads companies, ways I have seen success generating them, and also a lot of the things I have learned while blogging in general that I feel would be beneficial for me to share. Since April this year, I have made a good living off of blogging alone, and have gained a lot of insight into online marketing that is very pertinent to any agents wanting to generate their own leads via the internet.
As you are already aware, this industry has been rapidly transforming from a face to face scenario that used old school marketing to marketing that is almost entirely web based. What I feel is getting lost in the shuffle is the effectiveness of the old style insurance marketing. Those same techniques, when applied to modern media will make your marketing efforts much more effective.
The other thing is that all the advertising in the world is useless if you can not close the sales. This is still selling to people who have the same emotions and beliefs people have always had. The psychological triggers that get someone to buy something is the same as it has always been, and the medium does not make the least bit of difference. You will just find that you can reach a much bigger and more targeted audience in a shorter time.
With that, I have included an extensive set of articles from my longtime mentor and friend on closing sales that takes you through the basics you need to learn if you are new to selling. Old schoolers might pick up a tip or two also. The other thing that you must realize is that the smallest details have the biggest impact. Some of the smallest things can cause you great success of even bigger failure. It just like leaning to tie your shoes, if you tie them wrong you can end up with a terrible knot but once you learn the right way you never have to worry about it again.
Anyway, I am glad you stopped by.
Thanks,
Mac
