Insurance Lead Cost (Relativity and Relevance)

Insurance Lead Cost (Relativity and Relevance)  Article 5 in Randy’s series on closing Insurance Sales.

Hi Everybody,
For those of you I haven’t met,
My name is Randy Mc Arthur

Everything on this planet has an assigned value.  Things are worth no more than their comparative value (such as diamonds, determined by scarcity, if you could pick them up in your driveway, they would be sold by the dump truck load like gravel) and no more than their usefulness (like tools and materials used to manufacture a finished product or perform a service.)  Health insurance leads are just like everything else.

Their value is relative to their cost and relative to the number of prospects generated by other means such as advertising, direct marketing and networking, etc.  The leads have relative value only when they are relevant to your goals.  In plain English, purchased health leads must save you both time and money to be worthwhile. So the question asked most frequently is:

“Great, which leads have the highest relative value, the lowest cost and are the most relevant?”

The answer is:  “All of them and none of them.”

You see, that question can only be answered by you, the agent.

Have you ever heard the old saying “There is no reason to play if you aren’t going to keep score!”  Well that’s true too.  You, the agent, has to know 2 things before making any decisions that effect revenue.  The agent has to know the amount of money spent per sale and the time spent per sale before he/she can make a budget and analyze profitability.  The only way to get these 2 initial numbers is through trial and error.

Sounds expensive, right?  Well it is, but it is as necessary as breathing when starting any new business.

I can tell you from my own experience, you need to incorporate purchased internet health leads into this process.  You are going to find that the internet leads have a much lower total cost per deal closed than any other type of leads.  You just have to learn how to work them and how to track their effectiveness.

Tracking your performance is cumbersome and confusing unless you have a system.  Over the past three years I have developed a system for tracking my performance that automatically evaluates every tool that I use.  Just like always, I’m only here to help and will send you my system FREE of Charge.  All you have to do is ask.

My mission is to; first, only and always, do the right thing to help people insure that, through their own choices, they are making the best decisions they can make to guarantee their success in everything they do.

Good luck in all your endeavors and god bless you.  I can’t help you if you don’t contact me.  Just give me a call at (919) 781-2018 or email me at randymcarthur@ymail.com . Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks
Randy Mc Arthur
