The Right Thing to Do
Hell’s a real place -
I ain’t going because I chose not to -
He does not want you to, BUT -
He leaves it totally up to you -
Ain’t freewill a bitch -
And his relevant gift.
When you have to make choices every day -
Big ones and small ones, -
Really they’re all ones -
And there is nothing more you can say -
So keep an eye on your soul and focused of mind -
And make sure your heart is true.
It matters what you think -
It matters what you believe -
But your actions shall follow you -
I don’t know what to tell you -
I’m not a wise man -
And my history will bear that out -
But since I started listening -
And found my new friend -
I know we’ll figure it out.
So follow your heart -
And stay in your right mind -
And enjoy something each day -
A flower, a tree, an ice cream cone -
They’re all his gifts anyway.
For now are we here -
And then we’ll be there -
It’s really yours to choose -
So Please -
Make the right choice -
And pick the right place -
YOU have so much to lose…
