The road to survival as an Insurance Agent

So I Haven’t posted for awhile.  To tell you the truth, health leads and talking about them have become really boring to me.  I did this blog as a challenge from a friend to see if I had had the skills to beat out the insurance leads companies when marketing to other agents.
I actually did for the term “health insurance leads” and ranked # 1 in google for that term.  Here is the screen shot.+ (click to enlarge)

That lasted for approximately 6 hours.  When I checked the backlinks for the actual lead companies, they had increased overnight and pushed me out of the way.  That leads me to the point of saying, If you think that you can generate a crapload of leads quickly using SEO, unless you know what you are doing or have deep pockets, chances are slim to none that it will happen for you.
The other method of generating internet leads is social networking.  Facebook, twitter, youtube, etc.  You actually stand a much better chance of generating some leads if you do it right.  Problem is, in every single instance that I have seen agents trying to use social networking, they have been doing it absolutely WRONG.
